Connecting The Motherboard To A Case
Now the motherboard is screwed into the case we need to connect the power and case wires. First lets connect the power. Make sure the case is not plugged in at the mains.Locate the power pack that is inside your case. In the picture below the power pack is located at the top left.

There will be a power connector coming off the power pack which looks like the one in the picture below. Connect this cable to the motherboard. Refer to the motherboards manual if needed.

Inside the case there will be at least 6 cables which need to be connected to the motherboard. Refer to the motherboards manual to locate where these cables should plug in to. The cables that need to be connected are.
-Power Switch. This is the cable that connects to the power switch. So when someone press’s the power switch it will give the motherboard power.
-Reset Switch. Connects to the reset switch.
-Hard Drive. When you connect this cable a LED light, usually located at the front of the case will flash when ever there is any hard disk activity.
-PC Speaker. Connecting the wire connects the motherboard to the onboard speaker.
