Have you ever wondered how to ping folders to the task bar in windows 7?  By default folders will only get added to explorer which is not what we want.  To get around this browse to the folder you want to put in your task bar,  right click on the folder and select copy then right click in an empty part of the explorer window and select "paste shortcut"

Now right click on the shortcut and select properties,  Change the target from  C:\Windows\CMD.exe   to the folder location of your choice  Save the changes and then right click on the shortcut and select "Ping To Task Bar"
