First thing to do is to go to http://bit.ly/twitter240 for information on how to change your password using the e-mail address associated with your account, Or you can submit a request to there customer support team if the e-mail address has been changed within your account.
If you believe your account has been comprimised change your password to a strong password (IE use 1 capital letter, 1 number and one symbol) and also revoke access to any 3rd party plugins that you have installed for a few weeks.
